As many of you will be aware, the policy of www.blackriverhouse.com has hitherto been to appeal to those who may have been acquainted with The Secret Method and its members before their disappearance in 1996. The band members were together for some years before their departure for Kildubhan and they were well respected as musicians in their local area. They had released an EP and as a signed act, they showed every indication of becoming a major talent in the years to follow. With this in mind we have so far refrained from posting pictures of the band members themselves, electing instead to rely upon first hand information from those who would recognise the events, and not just the faces. Whilst we have consistently stated that every lead is worthwhile, the disappearance is a tangled case to begin with and we have endeavoured to avoid at all costs the potential for a “wild goose chase” which could arise from what we have come to regard as a “Have You Seen These People?” approach.

However, in recent months it has become increasingly apparent that if we are ever to make meaningful progress in resolving this case, we must be prepared to broaden our search parameters. The resolution of the case and the tracing of Nick, Jimmy and Justyn are of the utmost priority, and with this in mind it has been agreed that we cannot close off any potential avenues of enquiry.

Thus, I am once again the grateful recipient of Bob Longfellow’s assistance in delivering to me a selection of images of the band members for use on this web site. Bob Longfellow, formerly of Golden Hoof Records was present for a period of recording with The Secret Method in the summer of 1995. We have examined his photographs from this period and have together chosen a small selection of images which we feel allow the characters of the band members to shine through, rather than subject them to a dispassionate gallery of portraits.

The images can be accessed by clicking the graphic below, or by clicking the same graphic in The Lost Band pages:

It is my sincere hope and indeed the hope of all at www.blackriverhouse.com that these images will aid investigations and that perhaps they will help to “jump-start” as it were, some new leads. Since its inception www.blackriverhouse.com has been the fortunate beneficiary of a steady flow of genuine concern and a sincere desire to aid the progress of our enquiries. We are truly grateful for this response and we pray that it might continue.

As ever, my very best wishes
