It is of course only a matter of weeks since my own visit to Ireland when, in the feature "Retracing the Steps of The Secret Method", Clive Lubb and myself followed the initial journey of the band from London to Killaloe from whence the band made their final telephone call before entering Black River House. On this occasion we did not visit the house itself, largely due to the ever present issues of permission. However, had we been given the chance on this particular visit, we would almost certainly have avoided the premises. Our purpose then, as now, was to remember the band members before their tragic disappearance, and to celebrate their lives and work. The investigation into the still unsolved disappearance of the band continues, indeed, it forms one of the primary purposes of this web site. For this reason, at this juncture, it seems most fitting to acknowledge the occasion, yet not to dwell upon it unduly. We are all aware of the date and its significance, but for those of us who are devoted to uncovering the truth, the day must be treated as simply another twenty four hour period in a continuing process. We cannot allow such anniversaries to fall, one by one, like iron bolts across a door which must remain open until this investigation is brought to a satisfactory close. No official verdict has been passed, and though the band remain missing, we have every reason to continue to search for answers.
It remains only to request on this occasion, that should anyone find themselves at any time in possession of information which may help to shed light upon this case, please do come forward. No contribution is too small, no memory is too insignificant and no lead is too remote. Ten years ago Jimmy Cook, Nick Young and Justyn Kupiec, three promising young musicians were taken from the world for no obvious reason and with no apparent explantion. It is our purpose, it is our duty to find out why.
My sincere best wishes,
