This project would not have been possible without the co-operation of both the British and Irish Authorities. Although it is true that we have not always seen eye to eye on every subject, their assistance in certain areas of my investigations including their permission to create this site has naturally been enormously helpful.

My aim with this web site as I have stated throughout the project is not to apportion blame, but to decipher once and for all the unsloved aspects of two important cases which to date have not been given the closure which they deserve. It is to their credit that neither Government has seen fit to hamper these efforts in any way.

I am forever indebted to the following people for their tireless efforts
in helping me to make this project possible...

Clive Lubb

Clive is a very dear friend who has thrown himself into this project completely. I studied alongside Clive at the University of Glasgow in the 1970's and have remained in contact with him for almost thirty years. Clive spent fifteen years in the Police Force before ailing health forced him to take time out of his career.

Thankfully Clive recovered but he opted to pursue a new career as a private investigator. Clive has accompanied me on each of my field trips to Black River House, and his experience and quick thinking have proved invaluable on every occasion.

Geoff Gibson

Geoff Gibson came forward in 1998 in response to my investigations. He had been John Marchant's colleague and close friend before the tragedy of 1992, and was left in possession of John's personal effects. This treasure trove contains journals and unfinished work, and has been absolutely invaluable to me.

Perhaps the greatest asset, though, has been the company of Geoff himself, who works as an advertising executive in North London. He's a real character, and I'm happy to say he's now a good friend - when I can get a word in!!

Bob Longfellow

Bob has been a huge source of information on The Secret Method since I first approached him three years ago. It was Bob, as a young record company assistant, who found the band to have vanished in 1996. Today he is extremely busy managing a band in London, so his time has been very much appreciated.

Mitch Bell

Mitch is the technical wizard who is still restoring the Secret Method's master tapes back to 'full health'. I have found this process highly enlightening and rewarding, and for Mitch's expertise, patience and sheer man-hours, many thanks.

Caroline Young

Caroline is the elder sister of Nick Young, the Secret Method's missing singer/songwriter. She has been a great source of information on the band and she has a simple message for Nick and the band if they are reading; 'Please get in touch'.

Simon Cloney

My Thanks to Simon Cloney AKA "Psy-Klone" for the more complicated aspects of the design of this web site. Thanks to Simon and his expertise Black River House now has a much more visually interesting presence on the internet.

Simon's graphic artwork can also be viewed free at www.arewescaredyet.co.uk including a series of his Black River House inspired drawings.

My Sincere thanks to Hero Music for their advice and help throughout the process of bringing the recordings of "The Secret Method" to a much wider audience. I am also grateful for their help in understanding the background of Golden Hoof Records.

Hero Music can be found by clicking on the image above.

Naturally my thanks go to the people of Kildubhan and Killenis Dubh, some of whom have been extremely helpful in aiding my research into the House and the area. Much of the research can be found in the written word, but many of the folk tales, superstitions and legends exist more colourfully with the residents themselves. While not everyone was entirely forthcoming, a select group (you know who you are) offered me complete openness and a fascinating insight into the history and hearsay of the area.

Finally, no list of credits would be complete without a heartfelt acknowledgment of the efforts of those of you who support this site and who contribute tirelessly to my requests for information, leads and details about all aspects of the Black River House Murders and the disappearance of "The Secret Method". We are still some time away from solving either case, and beyond allowing me access to the evidence and findings of both cases, it is clear that the authorities on both sides of the Irish Sea have no wish to pursue things any further. Thus despite my ongoing research I cannot emphasize enough the need for anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to step forward. In this way, and with your help I hope to be able one day to firmly close both cases with the level of understanding and explanation that they deserve.

My thanks to everyone...

Peter Bramble.
